Mi Corazon Insiste (My Heart Insists)

 Courtesy: Daniel Root Photos.

Stabbed by many thrashed upon by some
It will still keep beating my Heart insists.
A hurricane obstructs …the visions fade
I will still paint colors the Heart insists.
Blames come upon me for a break of a friendship,
Never mind, it wasn’t a strong rope it says.
Nobody cares if you even exist?
Blimey, I am always there for you.
How abhor you feel when No body trusts you!?
I am a Shadow obliviously Lost.
Lost success, discouragements flow
Trust me once and up like a phoenix you’ll soar.
Have dreams to turn into verity
Let them transform into a waterfall
Then they will lead their own way
make others chase them for tranquility.
My heart insists…
My heart Insists…

Master-Baiter

I logged in on the internet the other day with a thought of checking few statistics for my studies and project going on. As the default page of Internet explorer opened with the recent news, my mind had instantaneously set ablaze due to the news title it read, “Girl raped in Kolkata at Gunpoint” As I clicked upon the video link, I was in tears, rage,  empathy all at the same time. The first thing in the morning I read to is this disgusting piece of shit that happened with that girl, rather a woman and lo, the other male ego-testicals species are ever ready to pounce on the conclusion that the Girls manage to lure their otherwise peaceful minds to commit to this lustful act.

I have time and time failed to understand; leave apart the rest of the world; that why Indian men (educated and uneducated) shamelessly state that Girls’ dressing sense lure them for raping and eve teasing them. I do not ignore the circumstances, where the girls DO lure these men but there’s a whole lot of difference between a decent girl wearing revealing clothes and an indecent girl wearing “Indecent” clothes. And men instead of grabbing this difference grab some other stuff and enjoy like Riteish Deshmukh who fears not getting into limelight once his wedding with GEN-NE-LIA spotlight is over.

I know what some Misogynists will think.  Why is she blaming Men at all? It’s all the fault of Women and Raping is synonymous to the concept of men.  But not being an extremist, I like to consider all the viewpoints and I feel, probably in rare cases it might be the fault of the girl, but majorly it’s the perversion of men. In a country where the assembly ministers for development and welfare for women and children are caught watching porn DURING the assembly proceeding and yet having the audacity to explain that they were watching “a woman get raped” so as to help put the theories and details clearly while speaking about the topic in the assembly; do you think wearing a short skirt, exposing some part of the legs/hands/abdomen etc is only a strong reason for raping a woman? If so, why are there rape incidences in the Islamic countries? Why are GIRLS or should I call them BABY GIRLS, aged as small as two years are raped by their own uncles? Why the hell there were cases of forceful sex in the earlier days when women used to wear sarees, considered being the most elegant piece of clothing?! The reason now is not the matter of clothes, but of the gender GIRLS!!!  A body with breasts means a thing to be fucked, and then thrown. If she is lucky enough, she survives or else cut into pieces.

There’s nothing one can do to change one’s thinking, mentality and his character if one himself does not wish to change. If you have someone who has been victimized like this, give her courage, reinstate her confidence in life and register the incidence with the police even if they act lamely with the girl. As Rebecca West said, "People call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat or a prostitute"; I would modify this to, “people call a woman a slut if she is frank with her opinions that differentiate her from the ones who silently suffer.”

A sweet and sour memory

" There were reasons we met,

 reasons for the good times and reasons for the bad;

and most importantly a reason to end.

We have more to learn, more to experience and more loving to do in this lifetime."

" The time spent together was magical and evil. You are gone but you live within my memory. Thank you, for being a  part of Me. "
