WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN WHEN WE PRAY??

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, ' This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received. I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world. Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section. The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them." I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth. Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section, my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed." How is it that there is no work going on here? ' I asked. "So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments" "How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked… "Simple," the angel answered. Just say, "Thank you, Lord." "What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked. "If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. " "And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity." "If you woke up this morning with more health than illness... You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day. " "If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation ... You are ahead of 700 million people in the world..." "If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world." "If your parents are still alive and still married...you are very rare." "If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair..." Ok, what now? How can I start? If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all. Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you care to, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are. ATTN: Acknowledge Dept. "Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people with whom to share it." If you have read this far, and are thankful for all that you have been blessed with, how can you not send it on???? I thank God for everything, especially all my family and friends.

...Gandhiji was so wrong! i feel. by giving your another cheek to the person who has hit you, you are actually giving him a chance to do that wicked thing again, to have fun in beating you, and keep you under his command. i realised that it is no good in waiting, that the person would somehow change and will stop behaving as he does so, for now. atleast not in today's world. some might change. n there are people who do. but some are stubborn. they don't budge whatever may happen to the poor guy. if you keep mum, people will take you by guilt. if you wait...and keep on waiting for the things to change, without saying any word against them, they would crush you down and leave no trace of you. that doesn't mean u shouldn't be benevolent. it always is in your favour. but where, after being patient and being human; if the situation still persists, then you probably , just need to show that you are not a lame goat but a lion.
        Now-a-days, people are telling me, that i have changed a lot. i am not the same as to what i was a few years ago. i calmly smile back and say, " may be i have learnt the ways of this world."

SOMEBODY...

somebody wants you
somebody needs you
somebody dreams 'bout you every single night.

somebody can't breath without you, its lonely;
somebody sighs; when with you, its lovely.

somebody drowns in you, all day long;
somebody swims in your arms.

somebody is happy coz you're ecstatic;
somebody is dancing to your tune.

somebody hopes that someday you'll see;
that somebody's me...!!!

A “trip” to Bhima Shankar…???

radhi gave me a bear hug as soon as I got out of the car. You know, it’s a different feeling when your sis hugs you particularly, if you meet her like you have an appointment with a dentist. i.e. once or twice in a month. That day we had planned to go to Bhima Shankar as it was republic holiday and dad n viru kaka had an off…which is once in a blue moon for daddy…I had bunked the flag hoisting ceremony in our college for which I would be heavily fined I knew but still, its rare…meeting up with kin n spending tym. So there we were, in the car at 7:30 in the morning chatting, listening music, n obviously gossiping about d happenings of radhi’s lyf. (Read between the lines)…The roads were good, which is a phenomenon in Pune with scenic beauty of the topography through which we were passing by- the sahyadris.
It was almost noon when we reached Bhima Shankar-a holy place having lord Shiva’s temple, which is one of the twelve jyotirlingas.Okay, so this was one facet why the place was so crammed. And the other one, I heard, there was some sanctuary to see. Personally, I don’t like visiting such places. This feeling was all the more strengthened when I was there. Firstly, these places are far-off. The traveling span drains you a lot. Secondly, you have to wait in a queue, (which we did for three and a half hours!!) With sweaty, stinky and manner less people. Who keep quarrelling either to squeeze themselves in the line or just to retain their position where they are standing. So this was how we passed our time…standing in the row and fighting with the lady who was standing behind us. She was continuously pushing me and bickering, “chalte raho…time waste mat karo.” I was so pissed off by her that I snapped back, “Why do you even walk? Go flying till the temple. That will be quicker than walking!!!”….ha-ha-ha…
And after surviving so much of bafflement, you don’t even get ample time in the temple. We were lucky (by exactly 3 minutes) to enter the temple before it was closed for the afternoon prayers. This made priya kaki’s temper go off like a rocket…thankfully the cool bislery water managed to calm her down…!
It was 4 ‘o’ clock when we left for our drive back home…n suddenly all realized that they were hungry like hell. Nothing in the stomach since morning 8…no doubt ppl say they forget hunger n thirst when they go on such religious yatras chanting the name of God…though nothing lyk that in our case (that includes me n radhi, rest i don't know) we had our “lunner” at a good dhabha…starting back for our homes. Finally finally we reached home at 10 ‘o’ clock, too exhausted by standing in the scorching sun but somehow contented by visiting such sacred place…God knows how that happiness comes after such pains!

Miss you

I hope this poem consolidates what i really couldn't tell...

Miss you...

I miss you when i wake up,
hoping to see you next to me...while i hold my coffee mug.

I miss you when i go to sleep,
tears roll and make me weep...

Miss you when i wanna fight,
but then wish, you would hold me tight...

Miss you when i want a kiss,
moment which i don't wanna miss...

You asked me once how much i miss you,
and i said,"i can't explain".
now you know how much i do,
these feelings are all true...

I miss you when i am alone,
just wanna sit besides you...

I miss you when in crowd,
still searching for your crown...

I miss you when i am happy,
wanna share my joy with you...

I miss you when i am sad,
and need your shoulder to rest my head...

I miss you when i hear your name,
about your favourite things...

I miss you when i see young hearts together,
and when i get caught in showers...

Each joy reminds me of you,
but sometimes...i just miss you...
